About
The Centuries Zine is a Free, Digital, SFW, multi-pairing zine, focusing on the danmei novel “Heaven Official’s Blessing” (original title: 天官赐福, pinyin: Tiān Guān Cì Fú) by Mò Xiāng Tóng Xiù (墨香铜臭). The theme of the zine, while being open to interpretation of the contributors, is ‘Centuries: A story of parting, waiting and reuniting in honor of Huā Chéng waiting centuries for his lover’.
Our contributor team consists of 10 writers and 28 artists, a total of 38 content creators.
FAQ
What will be required from the contributors?
Artists will have to create one fully rendered artwork in A5 portrait format following official designs.. Writers will write 1k - 2k words for a complete fanfiction. Poems can vary from Haiku to long poems. Creating more than one piece is possible.
Are we limited to canon-verse or can we use alternate universes/canon compliant universes as well?
Alternatives to canon are welcome, as long as they fit the theme of the zine.
Can we write poems for the zine or are we limited to fanfiction?
Writers who are accepted into the zine can apply to write a poem instead of/additionally to a fanfiction.

Will this zine be for-profit?
No, this zine will be a free digital zine. We don’t plan to make merchandise for this zine.
Will you allow NSFW content? No, we would like to keep this zine Safe For Work. So nothing explicit will be allowed. If you have a concept in mind but are not sure if it would be considered NSFW, contact a mod!
Will there be a restriction of pairings?
No.
We will allow all ships. Due to the SFW nature of the Zine the only restriction is that the pairings are are consensual and the involved characters have the mental maturity to be in a relationship. Friendships, family bonds and other general themes are very welcome too!
Can I share my progress on zyx platform?
During the creation period, you have permission to share snippets/crops or your work on your social media/other discord servers. Please don’t share the full piece. Streaming your process is prohibited. Longer wips and full pieces may be shared in the event zine server only.
Formatting
Artists
Small signatures are fine please do not watermark for inside Zine their will be a field on the check in to submit a transparent of signatures/watermarks or logos!
A5 portrait format
(or A4 landscape format with permission from mods)
We ask that the file be in PSD or PDF file format. PNG does not allow for CMYK.
300 DPI
Don't go above 350dpi
RGB or CMYK is up to you
Since CMYK colour profile can change how your colors look, you are more than free to send 2 files, one in RGB for the digital zine and one in CMYK for the print version. Please just mark in the file name which is CMYK and which is RGB so it's clear when we start compiling!

Do Not add any tabs or line breaks in your piece, and delete them if there's currently any.
You can have italics/bolds in your submission,

Note: The font is for cohesion purposes the zine font will be different. If changes are made to the doc or elements need to be altered you will be contacted. There may be minor fixes based on the Copy Editor and the Head Mods run through it is a good idea to make a copy of your fic.

Artists
A template can be given if wished
If you don't follow the formatting rules, your piece will be cropped/dpi changed by the Artist Mod
2nd Check-in
We ask for a progress of 50 - 66 %
The goal is to be halfway done with the piece.
For art this means, lineart is finished or the coloring process has started.
Mods Will be checking to make sure pieces are different enough, if not this is the time to make changes.
3rd Check-in
Soft deadline. At best the pieces are finished. The very least will be close to finished.
Final Deadline
All pieces have to be finished. Mods will stay in touch if rendering and file size adjustments are needed.
Writers
2nd Check-in
We ask you to have at least half of your estimated work count ready.
The WIP you're submitting should be at least 500 words long. Mind that if your estimated final word count is higher than 1k, we suggest you have a minimum of 900 words written out by now to make sure you'll be ready for the next check-in!
3rd Check-in
This is a soft deadline. We require that all works should be finished, or be close to being finished. Your work can be unedited and you can make adjustments in it until the final deadline.
Final Deadline
All pieces should be finished, edited, and ready to be submitted.
